Parenthesis Fuzz

After struggling with a couple of pre-amp builds, I was VERY happy to have this Parenthesis fire up ALMOST right out of the box (I initially forgot to install Q5 in its socket and wondered why the output was so low...doh!!).

I used a pair of 1N5817 diodes for the octave and a pair of D9G diodes for the germanium clipping section. Such a fun and great sounding circuit!



Was just doing some searches and wondered if the clean boost part of the circuit was taken from a specific pedal or is it just another take on the AMZ Mosfet Booster?

It looks like it's taken from a SHO.

I wondered if it might be EQD's "Black Eye" and then thought of the "SHO" but neither of those schematics seem to match the boost section of the Parenthesis...
