There is a really nice transformer designed for pedalboard use that has eight secondary coils (one 12v, the rest 9v, all AC). It’s ideal for building a truly isolated power supply. Users much fabricate a DC rectifier and regulation circuit per output. While those are both fairly straightforward circuits that most builders can easily construct on perf, wouldn’t it be way easier and neater to have a PCB that is designed to work with the WPDLXFMR-1 transformer? Even if it wasn’t jack mounted it would still make using this transformer much easier to implement in a practical design.
