Plumes aka Greengage question

If I omit the charge pump, the pedal will work nicely or there is a lot going on with the 18V mod?

I don´t like using charge pump, by the way, I am working on my own PCB

So this one actually doesn't use the charge pump to double the voltage but instead creates a +9v and -9v to work with and a midpoint at GND. You unfortunately can't omit it without doing a large amount of modification to the circuit.

It's basically a tube screamer though so it might be easiest to modify a normal tube screamer board to use some of the same capacitor and resistor values as the greengage if you want to go without the charge pump.

you are right, thanks I think I'll stick with the original design (less trouble)
