Quality of Life Upgrades: Breadboards

I got the clear one because it "looks cool". But you can't see anything while working. Go with the 1970's casserole dish aged white plastic over the clear for anyone getting started breadboarding.

I've got some mini boards in various colours, have to agree, the clear looks cool but bone-white is better.

What's the blue putty you're using? I've got gobs of blue-tack, but it's too gooey at times and not sticky enough others and becomes a total mess when heated up while holding bits in place while soldering.

Ya it's just some blue-tack as well, from a local grocery store. Don't know the brand. It's almost too tough but that's ok. I use it for holding components in place when soldering too, sometimes it falls off, but doesn't get gooey or anything.
