It was an easy mod, only had to add two parts. The 1.5K resistor (R3 on my schematic) is on the back side. The 4.7K resistor (R5) is glued to the top next to where the trimpot would go.

I rig them up myself. I buy 5mm chrome bezels from Tayda. Here's the process:
  1. Trim the LED leads to about 1/2 the original length. Trim the cathode lead shorter so you don't lose track of which lead is which.
  2. Install the bezel's plastic bushing onto the LED leads.
  3. Solder stranded wire onto the LED leads. I use two different colors of wire so I can easily identify the cathode lead.
  4. Install heatshrink over the solder joints. I prefer clear heatshrink.
  5. Install a larger diameter heatshrink over the pair of wires to act as a strain-relief.
Installing the LED into the bushing is one of the last things I do when assembling everything into the enclosure. I made a tool from a Popsicle stick for pushing the LED back out of the bezel in case I need to pull the board out for mods or troubleshooting.
