This was a fairly quick build with commonly found parts. I like the ability to dial in some clean signal. I assume that the clean signal is parallel to the dirt. I was running out of IC sockets, so I said a prayer, and soldered the ICs. Fortunately, it worked well. I don’t think this pedal will knock off the Powdered Blue or OD-3 clone from my board, but it does add some variety.
The art was a UV print with a gloss finish. The finish is chromium. I sneezed and it got scratched. Seriously, it did get scratched by the tape that I used to mark my step drill bit’s depth. You can see the scratch around the comp toggle in a circle pattern and so could not buff it out. I wonder if doing a layer of gloss over the entire face would be wise. I would be interested to know if others have done a full gloss layer to protect some of these delicate finishes. Cheers!
