Second PedalPCB build: THis Leprechaun is weird af

I finished up my second build tonight. I feel really good about this one. I took a chance and boxed it up without testing and as far as I know it is all functioning well. I say "as far as I know" because this thing is wacky as hell, but it is silent and every knob does a thing. I just don't know what thing is. haha. I wish I had an electric guitar to try it out on, because I think that would play a bit nicer with it. I can say that this pedal makes me want to start some kind of haunting noise band.

Built this for a buddy of mine. I was surprised he picked it, but it was a fun build.

I grabbed a little video of me playing with it a bit. Sorry for the cartoons in the background... hard to find time with a toddler around! You can find the video of me just noodling around here.

Here's the assembled pedal. I am planning on labeling this one, but will do that over the next couple of days. I actually bought some gold foot switches for this one, but had these soldered up before I remembered, so I'm a little bummed about that, but I think it still looks good.

And the guts:

I tried to use img tags to post the photos but they just disappeared, not sure what's up with that.

Tidy work - I do like the gold on green w black a lot.

What was your first build?

Thanks. I got a new soldering iron halfway through the build (Weller WP1010) and I was able to stop using flux which helped keep things clean and go a bit faster. What a difference.

My first build was this Dirty Sanchez.

I like the green/black/gold look, too, which is why I'm kinda bummed about the footswitches, but I put too much time in them to do it all over again.

The black nuts on the switches tie in nice imo . . . I can't imagine there are gold foot switches to be had.

My first - perhaps only - build will be the Parenthesis Mini. We'll see if it's too ambitious as a first-and-only project.

I want the sound this generates based on the samples I've heard from the EQD stuff and could never justify the $300-600 wanted for used versions. They're likely worth it - I'd just prefer to pour my money into R&D on other stuff rather than a pedal that would ultimately just be for me.

LMS has them. I actually bought some and had them here, but they were in the back of the box and I just instinctively grabbed the blue boxes.

That's the ONLY thing i'da done different - VERY cool build. Are you aware of black versions of these switches?

I can see getting sucked into this. I definitely - DEFINITELY - need to slow my roll here.

Yeah. This one is going to a buddy, so I'll put the gold ones to good use somewhere down the line.

I haven't seen any black ones myself, but if I come across any I'll post em here.

I have at least 3 or 4 PC boards here that I've already got that I'm going to work through. And every time I buy a couple, I seem to start filling my cart up again hours later. I may have a problem.
