Small pedal, big tone: what to do with 1590B enclosures?

Hey guys, I have a lot of PCBs waiting for some TLC (mostly for me to order components) and I have a few 1590B enclosures lying around that I would like to use. From my current build queue, I checked the size of the following PCBs, and I think they may fit in a 1590B (probably side mounted jacks, top mounted power or maybe viceversa):
  • Roboto
  • Bellum Fuzz MKII
  • Transcendence Boost
  • Dream Fuzz
  • Maleficent Mids
  • Son of Ben
Did anybody try any of these? Anything I should watch out for? Should I avoid toggle switches (I had trouble with their height in the past)? Anything else?

Someone left a review on the website for maleficent mids and said they got it into a 1590b enclosure. I'm gonna try it and about to drill my enclosure. Definitely going to try for side mounted jacks. Spacing is definitely going to me way tighter than the 125b like I'm used to.

@MichaelW recently posted some advice on how to space the top mounted jacks. I also remember somebody posting a drill template a while back--you might find it by searching.

@flemming has a great 3D printed drill template for it. I haven’t used it yet because I moved and all my stuff is now packed away but it looks perfect to me.
