I've still been cranking out sweet builds but just haven't had the desire to do reports for them. This one is a fantastic pedal and build that has some invaluable teaching moments I'd like to share.
First, the circuit is fun as hell. What a great combo of this type of tremolo and belton brick reverb. They sound nice on their own but together they are awesome. Sprinkle some dirt on it and you get a beautifully textured and inspiring effect.
Gloss sunbeam yellow rattle can on the enclosure.
3 mistakes I made:
I drilled out the enclosure with the drill template pdf instead of just using the faceplate. Doing this made the faceplate very hard to line up properly. I had to drill some of the faceplate holes for everything to align. Which is why the LEDS and footswitches look goofy. And I had to use the footswitch washers to cover this. Dumb.
I used the 'wrong' 9mm pots. If using the faceplate, these would have been ideal https://stompboxparts.com/potentiometers/9mm-potentiometer-knurled-indicator-shaft/. I went with something else so any knob will cover the text on the faceplate. Therefore, it looks goofy.
The 3rd mistake is not researching the forum before building. This was dumb on my part and the previous mistakes could have been avoided if I remembered to do my research. This is my biggest takeaway/advice for beginners; Check out the forum before building.
I'm still satisfied with the final product. It's not a dealbreaker since it will just be used for myself. I hope this may help someone in the future.
