Tearjerker Wah Inductor

Hello,

I just got my handmade 500mH Inductor and I am not sure at all about how to solder it in. Maybe someone can help me out here. Since none of the holes really fit I will probably have to snip off/ bend some legs and maybe use hot glue to keep it in place, right? Also open for any other suggestions on how to keep it in place.

Install the red pin into any of the red pads, and the green pin into any of the green pads.

The other two pins are mounting posts so they don't necessarily need to be connected to anything, you could bend them out of the way or clip them off if they're causing an issue.

Would it still not fit the PCB diagonally if the mounting posts were out of the way?

Thanks a lot! I had to clip 3 of the 6 legs (2 of the extra "connectors" and 1 of the "stabilizers") and bend one of them a tiny bit but got it to work now. Fits in pretty good and looks even better. Again thank you for your help!

You're only interested in the Primary side.

One lead of the Primary goes into the red side, the other lead of the Primary goes into the green side.

Don't connect the center lead or any of the secondary leads.

Sorry to hijack someone else’s thread but I got this inductor for the tearjerker and there are no real markings. One leg has a 1 in the plastic housing and another says 4. But there’s nothing denoting primary or anything else. Does anyone have any ideas? 93769F67-0B6D-4E2B-847E-DBE9EAA62DD8.jpeg 9D094C66-285C-4BA4-B31D-436E3DF6A2B9.jpeg 3B84B052-B38F-42B2-BECD-12558A7CC3CF.jpeg 56E8E821-5099-482B-A254-D88EE049F7F4.jpeg
