Testing installation of a Spin FV-1?

Hi all, first thread post!

I installed a Spin FV-1 onto my Leprechaun board, and I think I got the surface mounting done right.

Is there a good way to test it before I populate the rest of the board? I'd hate to think I fried the chip, only to populate the board, and have to start again from scratch.

(The pre-mounted Leprechaun boards became available on the SAME day I got the chip! Just my luck.)

Is there a good way to test it before I populate the rest of the board?

I can't say for certain but I suppose you could find the pads attached to each pin and connect it to a programmer or minimal test circuit. I think this might be more intensive than populating the board.

easier to test after you populate the rest of the board. right now you can use the schematic and see if the pins on the fv-1 connects to the pads where the other parts will go.
