THAT4301 sourcing for Muzzle?

Hey there,

I'm struggling to complete some Muzzle PCB I have here and finally gave eBay a chance... So I bough those "Genuine" THAT4301 Chips from a 100% good feedback seller on eBay and I don't think that they are good.

Well, I've built two and can't get them to work properly, one started to make some sparkle, and the other won't do anything good to the sound.

Do you have any "good" sourcing experience for the 4301 ?

Thanks,

Guillaume

Also, maybe it's good to mention that it's my first experience with SMD soldering but I've done a complete checkup to see if anything is shorting-touching-grounding-etc.

Yep, those are authentic so no concerns there.

Do you have any liquid flux? It might be worth reflowing the solder on the pins if you do.

Ok thanks for the info. Yeah I have a small flux pen. Maybe I didn't clean it well after soldering. The solder seems very firm and shiny, so no concern but maybe something shorting some pins.

I also had trouble with some Caps that were open in the past so I'll have another look at them.

Thanks !

Can you describe the best process for confirming authenticity of an IC like this? There's a whole lot of sellers jacking up the price of limited supply, and a lot of them show signs of shady-ness if I look through previous reviews, etc
