War Scythe Issue(s)

Hello friends!

I have a few questions and wanted to get some feedback:

1) When engaged, the ungula side sounds basically the exact same as my clean signal, which I find odd. Transistors are socketed and not the most secure right now but the scythe side is the same which is working. I have two 2N1306s in for Q4 and Q5.

2) Are the four LEDs supposed to light up on the ungula side? Only two of them are lighting up and it’s only when both sides are engaged. Haven’t looked into it much but thought it was odd.

3) Octave sounds like really strange. Maybe gated? Not sure how to describe it. I’ll try to get a video later. Least of my concerns right now though!

As always - I’m still very new to this and learning as I go. Soldering isn’t my strong suite either. Haven’t had time to check much with DMM but plan on it tonight after dinner/bed time.

Looking at the picture - I see a few cold shoulders and places that need more solder. I’ll get to that right after bed. Sometimes stepping away is helpful and looking at pictures shows what my eyes missed haha

Oh - and lastly - LEDs don’t seem to be working. I don’t have them soldered in yet but I usually don’t and they still turn on when I have them pinned in place.

Reflow these areas and see if that helps with the LEDS. They should light up even if not soldered in.
