Yeah, I bought them both and the build docs are not out...I'm a PCB philistine.

I believe the originals used a VTL5C9.
I used a 3mm red LED and this LDR:

Not suggesting it's the best choice, that's just what I used. @fig says I should have used a green LED instead, he's probably right. Next time I will forget and probably use a red LED again.
