I don't see any EL34/6CA7 or EF86/6267 tubes in my collection. Ates doesn't sound familiar. I certainly have not seen that box before.

I repair tube amps and radios so I'm always on the lookout to add to the stash. Inside one radio I was working on I found 2 tubes that were purchased the day after D-Day. I can imagine the owner of the radio running to the store in Red Wing, MN to buy them so he could listen to the war reports.

Here's the PCB version. I'm rather new to tracing circuits and drawing schematics so that's what I've been practicing. I haven't worked out a circuit that is positive ground and then converted to negative ground before.

The tag board version has a lock washer lug on the switch that is used as a solder point. I'm still figuring out the off board connections for both versions. This is what I get from the tag board version now.

Hello, I am trying to understand this particular Zonk/MK1 build. There is a switch that toggles between Zonk and MK1 mode (changes out that first input capacitor - a lower value for the Zonk and higher for the MK1). There is a wedge version that only runs on 9v and there is a pedal board...

Continuing on the breadboard and using a TL072 for an input and an output buffer, this layout puts the circuit input and output right next to each other (shown with the two header pins ).
