    Wampler KiCad course

I started the course based on your recommendation. It’s exactly what I was looking for. I had some questions in one lesson and again with the Kicad 10 update and @kylewetton responded very quickly. The resource library you get is fantastic too. Thanks!

    A Question of Control

I'm working on a pedal idea and I'm not sure if the controls are possible. It's a drive pedal with an effect that can be blended into the drive or toggled on/off and a boost Scenario 1: Playing through the drive with the effect toggle on and blended with the drive. Step on the boost and it just...

    Vacuum Tubes

I don't see any EL34/6CA7 or EF86/6267 tubes in my collection. Ates doesn't sound familiar. I certainly have not seen that box before.

    Vacuum Tubes

I made this tube spreadsheet and note what each tube was used for. I don't keep any TV only tubes, just radio, amp and some tubes used for test equipment. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1vqe6p10MX3YhEfmgp-McfjEdzqmZxyETR2bYdNrlTAE/edit?usp=sharing

    Vacuum Tubes

    They absolutely do!

    Vacuum Tubes

I repair tube amps and radios so I'm always on the lookout to add to the stash. Inside one radio I was working on I found 2 tubes that were purchased the day after D-Day. I can imagine the owner of the radio running to the store in Red Wing, MN to buy them so he could listen to the war reports.

    Cunningham Zonk/MK1

Here's the PCB version. I'm rather new to tracing circuits and drawing schematics so that's what I've been practicing. I haven't worked out a circuit that is positive ground and then converted to negative ground before.

    Cunningham Zonk/MK1

The tag board version has a lock washer lug on the switch that is used as a solder point. I'm still figuring out the off board connections for both versions. This is what I get from the tag board version now.

    Cunningham Zonk/MK1

Resistors differ on each transistor cap. Trace: Q1 cap resistor, Q2 cap no resistor and Q3 cap no resistor. Sola and Hornby: Q1 cap no resistor, Q2 cap resistor and Q3 cap resistor.

    Cunningham Zonk/MK1

Hello, I am trying to understand this particular Zonk/MK1 build. There is a switch that toggles between Zonk and MK1 mode (changes out that first input capacitor - a lower value for the Zonk and higher for the MK1). There is a wedge version that only runs on 9v and there is a pedal board...

    Power Supply Sections

Continuing on the breadboard and using a TL072 for an input and an output buffer, this layout puts the circuit input and output right next to each other (shown with the two header pins ).

    Power Supply Sections

Well that was embarrassing. I completely goofed up on reading the schematic I was working on. I have updated the attachments.

    Power Supply Sections

Here’s a power supply section containing +9V, +4.5V and GND that I breadboarded. Let’s see your preferred method for breadboarding power supplies.

    Blend Circuit with Filtering

The JMK Paralyzer looks like a good one to try out. I'm looking at the BYOC Soaring Skillet too. Thanks!

    Blend Circuit with Filtering

Thanks for the reply. Sorry for any confusion, I have now edited the previous posts to clarify what I was trying to show. Post 3 is where I'm currently at with the schematic. Post 6 is a couple ideas I've had to try and find a solution. Maybe I'm trying for more of a paner: 100% Electric - 50%...
