Retired Communications Engineer. Both my grandsons have started playing guitar. Between them they have a large selection of pedals and several amplifiers they "share." I am sharing my technical construction and troubleshooting skills with them. Hopefully at some point we can design something together.
This is fun for me as I get to use all my toys, soldering workstation, meters, signal/function generations and oscilloscopes, both analog and digital. The other thing that is fun for me is at that point in time in life when I can no longer do these things, I am sure my "stuff" will be respected and in good hands.
