Dual pedal (RAT/boost), separate footswitches but boost only works when RAT is on? how to wire

I'm building a dual circuit pedal, a RAT with a Zvex SHO boost running into it. I want them to have separate footswitches, but I only want the SHO to work when the RAT is on. Because I will not be using them independently and don't want to accidentally blow my ears out.

If possible, I'd like the SHO to be in true bypass when the RAT is off, regardless of its switch position. Basically like how the EAE Limelight works.

I'm trying to wrap my head around how this would be wired up. Can it be done with a 3PDT switch for each side?

Think of your RAT switch as the bypass for the whole pedal.

But instead of your RAT switch going straight to the RAT pcb, connect it to your SHO switch IN, and wire the SHO to its switch. Coming out from the SHO switch, go into the RAT pcb. Out from the RAT pcb goes back to the RAT switch.

Ah, that makes total sense. When the RAT is off, the whole shebang is in true bypass, doesn't matter what the SHO is doing. Seems obvious now but wasn't seeing it, thank you!
