Q-Tune Build Instructions

We've just published the first version of the build instructions on the website! If there's anything obviously wrong, let us know. We're excited to get these kits in your hands and hear your first-hand experience building them.

Probably the most difficult part of the build is working with the very small 1.0mm pitch JST connector that connects from the PCB to the back of the ESP32 & display. Take your time when you get to this step. Notice how the pin holes are more towards the top of the connector at the end of the cable? Line the cable up perfectly and do your best to slide it in straight. Don't ever try to force it and if it doesn't seem right, reset, take a breather, and try again. You'll get it!

I just added these pictures to the build documentation, now updated on the website.

Build Instructions 1.0.6 is now available. It has updated pictures and a few minor tweaks from before.

Quick tip I learned attaching the jst connector. The cable wants to fight you, lol. Make sure you have it oriented the proper direction then go down the wire about an inch and bend them the opposite direction gently with your fingers. It takes all the tension off the connector and you can line it up and slide it in much easier. I fought with it for a few minutes at first. Once I bent the wires it was one and done.
