Valeton GP5 IC identify.

Hi,

Just got my GP5 multi effect and disassembled it to figure out how they made it so small ...
Any way there are three stacked boards , one having two large ICs: first is MVSILICON Bluetooth audio processor which is a codec, DSP and BL audio and control interface. I don't know if this is the actual effects processor as it is not that strong to run NAM models as the GP5 does. Although it does provide hw fft and dsp accelerators. The other is labeled JAT with some date code. Does any one know what this is? ChatGPT suggests it is an MCU from microchip. Could it be a DSP?

Looks like a bespoke part to me. The chip next to is a Chinese manufacturer too so I'd expect that to be the cheapest option for mass production.

The JAT chip is likely a custom-marked MCU or DSP used for control tasks, paired with the MVSilicon processor. Without a datasheet it’s hard to confirm, but such custom parts are common in mass-produced audio devices.

I figure it might be. Question is could the MVsilicon be the only DSP chip here? I know the GP5 runs simplified version of NAM models (SnapTone they call it), is the MVsilicon powerfull enough for that? I am working on a DaisySeed pedal (with stm32h7) and want to evaluate its capability to run NAM models. I think it is more powerful than the MVsilicon chip. Maybe lacks some embedded DSP blocks.
