Deadendfx inchdown redux 1uf non polar?

I am almost done with my inchdown redux and realized I don’t have the 1uf non polar electrolytic on hand. Not a big deal, I have some on order. It did however make me wonder if I couldn’t just use a 1uf film or even mlcc in its place?

I hope you ordered some 1µF film caps, too!

Plenty of room on the DEFX to sneak in a 1µ film.

I noticed the Inchindown is discontinued, I wonder if that's because everyone wanting the circuit found out they could get it in a smaller footprint at Aion...

They still have it. Its under modulation instead of delay. I am building it because i love the Aionfx version. This is the same thing but adds two extra knobs for modulation. Its got a big bar to hit if its going to be as good as the Elysium. It’s one of the few digital delays that doesn't sound sterile to me. The box is way to big though, lol.

That reminds me of the Son of Kong, PedalPCB's FreakZEQ is a slightly stripped down version while the DEFX Diddy is beefed up (and of course MONSTROUS in its enclosure requirements.

I'll have a look into the Inchindown again; I've got the Elysium PCB waiting its turn in the ever-increasing build-queue.

I can strongly recommend the Elysium. I might even go so far as to say it’s my favorite digital delay. It sounds closer to a BBD delay than any other digital I have built. It’s easy to calibrate too. Especially if your dmm has a frequency counter. The artifacts seem more realistic than a traditional digital delay.
