Sandspur Output Volume

Hey!
I built a Sandspur and love the tone, but I need to have the volume cranked to get the right increase in volume. I understand this is typical of some vintage fuzz circuits, but are there any mods I could do to increase the overall output volume?

You can increase r4 to, say, 1k. It Will change the tone a bit, but the output will be higher

I could always try to put it on a switch so I can flip it on when I want it

This was perfect, thanks! I put a socket on R4, put in a 1K, re-biased Q2 to 4.5V, and now the pedal has much more output. If I ever want to go back to original spec, I can just pop in the 470R and re-bias.
