    On the scrounge….

Evening all! I’m on the scrounge for a 470UF electrolytic capacitor rated above 35v. Does anyone have one I can beg, borrow, buy!? Or know of where I can get one that isn’t the size of a house! I need one to finish a build I’m working on. Thanks in advance. Phil

    Help with components

I’m in Canada and got mine from “pcboard” I haven’t actually used them yet as I have only used 9V so far. They came In a 5 pack so I have spares if anyone needs them. I’m happy to post them out to people. Drop me a PM and let me know if I can help. Phil

I built a similar size buffer and just used pedalboard dual lock. Worked perfectly.

I totally agree @Feral Feline, I dont mind paying for service but getting royally shafted by them for absolutly no reason is beyond me. Im going to try my next order and see how it goes. I will split it into a couple of smaller ones I think. I dont get too much time at home so do knid of need...

Canadians ordering from Tayda, what shipping service do you use?

Hi @Laundryroom David, I hear you!! I have used next gen a few times and even visited them last time I was in town. They do carry a lot which can be handy if I need things quickly. I have used Gorva as I like their stuff but it needs to be a big order as their shipping is brutal thats for sure...

Canadians ordering from Tayda, what shipping service do you use?

Watching this with interest as im just about to place a big order with them. Mainly componenst so it shouldnt be too heavy but I have soem enclosures with them too so I may put them in a seperate order. No mater what we always seem to get shafted! even getting things from the states.

    Multi meter

Thanks @fig. Your input is always welcome. It seems there are loads around that price range of the link you sent and then a massive jump upto Flukes! Not much in between. Which Fluke did you end up getting? I do like the look of that Siglent one…. Oh no!!!

    Multi meter

Ouch indeed. Like I said I dont mind spending on things that are worth it. Is a Fluke worth it? for a hobby? I have found some good priced used ones like I said. Just waititng to hear back about those. I have been looking at the LM2020 scope/multimeter. Maybe thats a good way to go??

    Multi meter

Thanks for all the info. Lots to go on there. The one I have looks similar to some. Its the AstroAI one from amazon. And while it didnt exactly break the bank, i had hoped it would last a little bit longer! I will work on it some more today and try different leads to see if thats whats the...

    Multi meter

Hello all! While building today my multi meter started to play up. I changed the batteries and it worked for a while and then started mucking around again. To the point I don’t think I can trust it much longer. Don’t worry it’s had a good life and served me well. I’m looking for some...

    Holy crap it works!

Hi @Fizz it is quite a lot, but there is also the micro board too which I’m sure you could put most things on too. There isn’t much to add after the initial cost though as all the parts are available very cheaply. And available from Tayda or other places. I wanted one that would maybe be too...

    Holy crap it works!

Thanks folks. Good idea @Harry Klippton. I was wondering how to save it. I might do a few tweaks and see what happens at each stage before moving on. Going to try a distortion/screamer next. Unless anyone else has some better suggestions. @Locrian99 well done for doing the lay out too! I...

    Holy crap it works!

So this might not be much to some of you but I feel it’s a mile stone for me! Like my amp I built earlier in the year this is way out of my comfort zone. It’s my first dip into breadboarding. So I started slow and easy. This is a copy of an Electro Harmonix LPB-1 boost. Very basic components...
