AMT Legend R2 pedal or schematic?

I have an F1 on the bench right now and tracing the schematic. These do have a bias adjust on the input jfet but it's set to 2k, which is exactly what would be picked for just about any mmbf5458 today. There's another bias adjust pot but haven't gotten that far yet. I've made lots of series 2...

Kicad 9 - silkscreen now permanently under copper layers?

Not just on, but selected. KiCad shows the selected layer in the foreground. Selected: But, yes, your zone transparency was hosed. Select the layer that is opaque (just like the silk screen is selected above) and use { to see through it. Filled zones are supposed to be transparent by default...

    TPA3118 60W Power Amp Module

I use 1N5408 soldered directly to the power jack in the amp. You can get 24V power supplies with or without an earth ground. If your power supply for the other pedals has an earth ground that is tied to the negative rail, then get a 24V supply that only uses a 2-prong plug, no earth ground. The...

    TPA3118 60W Power Amp Module

I always add a 5A diode inside my amps to drop a volt and have used at least 5 different cheap 24V 2A or 3A supplies from amazon that have all been fine. That said, you must be careful with ground loops. On my real pedal board for gigs, I have a cioks DC7 and it's aux 24V output is perfect for...

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

OSH is, at least, not ridiculous. They directly import kicad files (nice). $5/sq in for 3 boards is just under the ridiculous level and is not money sent directly to trump's grubby hands. Malaysia might be an option. @vigilante398 what company in malaysia are you talking about?

Are there any reasonable US PCB fabs that can link easily to KiCad? This is a quote from Sierra... Ridiculous.

    Jlcpcb and tariffs

I ordered boards last week from PCBWay which haven't arrived yet: Of course, found a few missing components and tried to order an updated version of the same board today and this is what the checkout looks like. Imagine the hit to small businesses across the country... murca.

AMT Legend R2 pedal or schematic?

Since some interest was shown in PCBs with only the drive channel, I've made a project at PCBWay... These are stand-alone, so include everything needed to make a drive-only pedal. The PCB project is shared on PCBWay here...

AMT Legend R2 pedal or schematic?

Even the topology changes with jumpers. I can sell you some PCBs I have on hand if you like for $2 each plus shipping. PM me if you like. And I can post the interactive BOMs for them as well.

AMT Legend R2 pedal or schematic?

I have PCBs with only drive channel but didn't share them at PCBway figuring no interest. There's significant differences between drive channels.

    TPA3118 60W Power Amp Module

You mean a mute switch or a power switch? My preamp boards all have some form of mute with an LED to indicate if on or off. A power switch can be added in series with the incoming power from the jack and an LED, with resistor, on the other side of the switch.

    TPA3118 60W Power Amp Module

I've not had a single one die and have made about 20 of them. But, most of the boards from china are fake. The will laser mark the chips as 3118 or 3116 but the chips are fake. Those are all garbage. The real chips have never failed on me.

    Vampire Slayer DIY PCB?

Just to follow up... The 555 is running at 53khz. There is considerable noise on the 250V supply and the output, but it is all at very high frequency. Still trying to figure out if the lower frequency noise of the previous pic is real. It sure looks real on scope. I don't hear any whine with the...

    Vampire Slayer DIY PCB?

This is what I wanted to know (40khz expected). I'll check the components. For the others, I'm using a bench supply for 12V, which has no noise. The tube heaters are run directly from that supply, so 9V seems low since the heaters want 12.6V.

    Vampire Slayer DIY PCB?

A question for folks who've built this. I was sent one to try out already built and wanted to test it prior to plugging it in. I was surprised to see that the oscillator runs at about 4khz (in the audio range) and then even more surprised to see the power supply noise is on the output signal...
