Queen Brian May Fans - Deacy Pedal Project

This clearly means something - what I do not know !!!

Queen Brian May Fans - Deacy Pedal Project

Agreed man, it can only ever be an approximation/work around.

Queen Brian May Fans - Deacy Pedal Project

The elusiveness is hilarious, even though I started it 🤣🤣🤣 I don’t ’think’ it’s based on anything over at ROG, but I could be very wrong, it’s the Mr Deaky - Iv had a look through ROGs archives and can’t see anything that matches. I do love a bit of duct tape though !!!

Noooo, the Mr Deaky pedal !

Queen Brian May Fans - Deacy Pedal Project

Amazing dude - Joe from hello sailor fx built this recently on his YouTube channel. Unfortunately it doesn’t scratch the pedal based itch .

Queen Brian May Fans - Deacy Pedal Project

Dear all, I am looking at doing a Deacy style pedal. There is a company that does one and I am considering reverse engineering it. I believe they are built on vero. I am 95% sure I could knock up a schematic from it but need help from someone who is 100%, it’s the power section that will...

    General Tso’s Buffer

Just a quick check ! If were to ditch the buffer (I had a million buffered bypass 3pdt boards) would I get shot of everything (bar the pull down resistor) upto the black line, and the Vref b could go also as its only linked to the buffer !

    Bajaman DR103 Hiwatt Amp Emulation

Thanks man, I’m going to do a layout on Eagle for the Hiwatt and maybe the Soldano. JLCpcb rocks. I can’t quite fathom how they do what they do for so little money. I was pondering on doing yeh Ac30 Normal channel also but I love the ROG Britannia. Thanks man, saves me the headache of a Mouser...

    Bajaman DR103 Hiwatt Amp Emulation

Did you build them or buy them built ? I know another place does some layouts for some - I haven’t seen any for the Vox stuff though ! 2SK117 - pain ! You can get the SMD counterpart from Mouser which I will likely do, can’t be doing with the faf swapping resistors in and out if I change to...

    Bajaman DR103 Hiwatt Amp Emulation

So from what I can see the vero is verified, once the feedback resistor was de-bugged. I’m thinking for the sake of a few £££ I can knock up a pcb and see how it is !

    Bajaman DR103 Hiwatt Amp Emulation

Hey all, Curious to know if anyone has knocked one of these up. I know there was a brother some time back having difficulty’s. This seems to have been resolved by highering the value of the resistor between Pin 6 and 7 on IC1. I would likely put a 20k trim here. 2SK117s are like rocking horse...

    1/8w resistor confusion

I have done this before on other boards - I know it’s odd, I like stuff flat 🤣

    1/8w resistor confusion

Thanks for such a comprehensive, and more importantly understandable reply. This also answers another burning question I have had. So you can basically run different supply’s from the main 9v by branching off with a low ohm resistor. I was thinking of this when looking at doing several treble...

    Missing Build Docs / Schematics

Yup - hidden in Robert’s secret schematic drawer - there must be some issues with it being public, I imagine Mr Reed - Smith is the litigious type !!!

    1/8w resistor confusion

Thanks man - when you say a few - under any particular number ? I really find the maths side of things difficult !

    1/8w resistor confusion

Hey all, So I am thinking about doing some layouts with 1/8w resistors as I am only using 50x50 boards and space can be tight. I’m bewildered though… Everything I read says that the lowest ohm resistor you can use is around 650r if running 9v and connected to the power rail. 1/4w resistors...

    3 circuits on one PCB

Hey, thanks for replying: So is it that easy? It’s two different treble boosters and the ROG Britannia. There are lots of components coming off the 9v, certainly on the Britannia.

    3 circuits on one PCB

Hey all, so I am a thinking of cobbling together a single pcb with 3 different circuits on that will be switchable. Now my issue is the 9v power. If all three run through the same 9v power rail they will all pick up each others filtering etc. How do I best go about separating the 3 circuits on...

KAT Treble Booster Strip Board layout

Good luck dude, fyi - I would not bother with the switch to swap between the Cornish and Plush - the difference is so negligible.
