They're with a resistive load. Doesn't change the spikes any. I have a test switch box to go from 0 to 100mA, 200mA etc resistive load. Changing load affects the volts (more / less depending on the supply) but the switch pulse stays pretty much the same.

Thanks - yeah its a lot different with the momentary vs the latching "thunk thunk" kind. And yeah the short shaft is what I really like and not sure if LMS has them as short.

Thanks for the info. Yeah the NC doesn't really seem generally available. I've seen the bias approach, or if the geometry works just move the magnet "away" during actuation to get the opening.

Where did you get your reed switches (brand, etc)? I was going to order some cheap ones off amazon but the reviews are sketchy in terms of failure rate/quality. Are those "Coto" reeds? Coto makes great relays.

yeah the 'self contained' is what makes it attractive with the clips. Only challenge is attaching a magnet to the plunger. The xwing plungers at the tip are only 2mm dia vs the 4mm on the "actuator". But I see they do make 2mm dia magnets, and I could "stick" that to a 4mm , etc lol. Or...

I may have to experiment a bit. I have a bunch of Roland(BOSS) switches that are used with tactile 12x12mm switches that could probably be used with the reed switches. And the "XWING" style (broken ones I have) come apart and might be able to be turned into an actuator.

thanks! shows up in US - too bad there isn't dimension specs. The Daier footswitches are usually 8.8mm dia on the plunger vs "normal" of 10mm but not a big difference
