    LFOs - part I

After typing this post I got a determination to get this to work. I finally got one to work! I went over my Vero build found a 68K instead of a 6.8K resistor replaced and worked, this is for the X100 chorus LFO circuit, only difference is I used a 6.8K instead of 220 ohm for the LED. It now...

    LFOs - part I

First, thanks for replying!! I have tried the Rockman circuit many times both with bi-polar and vref voltages and I cannot get it to work work properly, meaning flash rate of the LED (see below about flash time). I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I have made other LFO circuits and they...

    LFOs - part I

Chuck Is there anything to help design a LFO that would go between 0.25hz to around 1hz. This is what I heard the Rockman Chorus does.

    Ocelot question

Rob, di you have a chance to look for old rev 1 boards, or a way to use the new board and get octave 2 to work as a low pass filter?

Rockman X100 Rev. 10 Schematic Release

I just read that the delay time is determined by the clock frequency used to drive the MN3007. I am trying to figure this out so I can try to use something other than the 4013/555. Like maybe just a 4046.

Rockman X100 Rev. 10 Schematic Release

X100. From what I have read the delay is 20-24ms, and the modulation is between 17-23ms. I looked at the data sheet for MN3007 and the delay time is adjustable between 5.12-51.2ms and represented by tD. But I do not see on the data sheet how to adjust this time?

Rockman X100 Rev. 10 Schematic Release

What sets the delay time in this circuit? I want to create a separate chorus pedal based on the LFO circuit for the modulation. But, as I am trying to learn chorus circuits I cannot find info on the delay portion. Electro smash does a great job explaining the circuit portions of the CE1, but I...

Rockman X100 Rev. 10 Schematic Release

Thanks for the replay! I ordered a PCB for a EHX small clone and still waiting for it to arrive. Anyway I can get your final schematic for the what you did on the chorus? That was my intent to use the Small clone and try to convert it, but the clock is using a 4047 instead of the 555. I do...

Rockman X100 Rev. 10 Schematic Release

Cybercow Hello, and congratulations on all your work and thanks!! I am only interested in the Rockman Chorus and Echo portions. I have tried re-creating the Chorus schematic on more than one occasion with no success. I really want to get the circuit working but I am almost done trying. I do...

    Ocelot question

Thank you for that information! I found a vero board layout (see attached). Anyone know if I use this layout with a 4027 (not modified) if I will get the low pass filter dupicate? Rob, do you have any rev 1 ocelot boards still to sell?

    Ocelot question

Hello Per the instructions on page 2 it mentions that if we install CD4027 with no modifications to the IC that octave 2 will work as a low pass filtered duplicate of octave 1. Does anyone know what part of the circuit does the low pass filter? Can we swap any devices to a pot to make the low...

    Six band eq low output

Hello I used the six band pot board to create a Mesa Boogie 5 band eq and it works. But when engaged the volume drops a lot. I took out the two 10k resistors on the input and output stages and installed 250k pots and got more volume, but now distortion. Is there a way to increase the gain to...

    Equalizer Q value

Hello I am building a 5 band EQ with same controls as a Mesa Mark amp. I am using the board I got from PedalPCB, and changing values using AMZ FX gyrator calculator. My question is, for the Q value, does this need to be a small or large number? Or does it really not matter? Thanks Rob

    DriveGPT PCB - Arriving Soon!

I made this pedal and love the clipping from it, but it sounds thin. Kind of restricted. Is there a way to let more frequency through?
