    Universal mods?

    Heh, yeah. I'm doing this industrial doom metal project, so I've been playing with and building a bunch of options to try to form something unique-sounding. I also do drone metal, so I'm really interested in texture.

    Universal mods?

    Has anyone made a sort of grid of capacitor/resistor sets to alter a pedal's voicing? Like: Guitar tight bottom end Guitar whoofy bottom end Baritone guitar tight bottom end etc.... Well, I guess there's filtering in and out, so it'd be a double grid?

    Universal mods?

    Are there mods that work on most circuits (of the same type)? For example, whenever I see a feedback/oscillate switch on a distortion pedal, I assume it's just bridging something to something?

    Hello, my name is bifurcation and I don't know how to use a multimeter

    Nice, thanks! One video seemed to suggest you could use the continuity test to see how far signal gets through the entire circuit, which seems impossible.

    Hello, my name is bifurcation and I don't know how to use a multimeter

    So *ahem* *cough* as I've tried to build pedals (and inevitably screw up 3/4s of them,) I've gotten great troubleshooting tips from y'all... but often still can't figure out what's going on with my circuit. Folks suggested a multimeter and oscilloscope would be useful, so I picked those up...

    Crossoverdrive

    Dammit. I thought I was going to invent that idea. Well, I also thought it might also be fun to switch out the distortion types. Like a big muff on the bass, an overdrive on the mids and a harmonic percolator on the highs. Ah well... I do think there could be a lot you could do with a...

    PedalPCB = A+ ... Mammoth = BIG FAIL

    I took advantage of that 20% Mammoth sale too. It's interesting, I got two pedal kits that they make in house: the "Russian" (green russian big muff clone,) and the send/return looper, and I have to say everything was perfect, all the parts were there (and really well labeled) and the guides...

    Basic Assembly Guide (suggestions)

    True. I just picked up a Mammoth kit (cause it was on sale, and I needed a confidence boost after screwing up so many pedals :cautious: .) They have a kind of super noob guide tacked onto the end of their PDFs, and one of the docs has a "8 most common problems" troubleshooting guide too. I...

    Basic Assembly Guide (suggestions)

    Since it's in wiki format, users could submit mods that could be tacked on to the page. It'd be good to have a "general troubleshooting" page, but also you (and users) could offer pedal specific problems for troubleshooting.
