    Best potentiometer

I've been using Alpha pots on amps for over 20 years and have had no problems. Great pots, just as good as CTS in my opinion. Just wondering if Tayda is really selling Alpha, or fake Alphas......? Tightening a pot is only on the exterior housing, it will not affect the tension of the knob.

Owning your own business = Fixing the internet at 11pm on a Friday..... 🤟 Working for the man, tho, I've pulled many an all nighter on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and was expected to be alert and present at 7:30am Monday morning. Boy my life sucked then.

Ok. I'm used to dealing with *extremely large* databases where description is a field, not part of the name or path. Gives me a bit more insight into how WordPress works tho!!! In the DB's I've worked in, those would be cross referenced or indexed by the description field, and all the images...

As a programmer I've written programs that generate HTML as well as FTP code. I am not a user, WordPress is more of a packaged user interface. I don't think you understand what I'm saying? Or perhaps I was not clear enough.... After the selection criterion and sort pattern is selected all...

I would expect the path name for display, and continue display to be the same since images are normally stored together. One is a very new date, one is a very old date. To me it looks like a pointer problem. If I was doing this in unidata I'd setup a table master file entry for the display...

Saw a guy make an amp with a PC case, lol. Worked and had glass panels so you could see the tubes glowing....!

    Deciding on first amp build

I love to build amps. I have so many in the pipeline right now it's kinda funny. Do I need them? Hell no. I am going to be building a Marshall Superlead 100w 2203. Eddie Van Halen's amp, if you use the 50k pot for the mid instead of the 25k, and run at 100v (I think, he did use a variac)...

    Deciding on first amp build

Sounds like fun! But remember part of the plexi sound is the speakers breaking up at high volume. So many different speakers too. A million variables.... I was playing one of my 5e3's a few nights ago with a newly purchased FANE M65, hand made in England. It is amazing. For the first time...

    Recommend me a signal generator

I have a squat load of 18650's, battery sleds, BMS and Buck down/up chips that I've used to make power packs for various equipment. But really, I don't go anywhere.... lol.... 68 and happily retired.

    Recommend me a signal generator

It works well, and looks slick. Trouble shooting tube amps all I use is the 100mv/1000hz tho. Total overkill but I wanted something nice for my birthday, lol. And it IS nice! Got my Oscilloscope OWON SDS7102V from this guy, but it was a lot less at $248.06, I did get the bag, but no...

    Solder fume extractor

I used to just use a fan, they really keep the smoke out of your eyes and nose, but they don't eliminate the smoke like a filtered solder extractor does.

    Solder fume extractor

My older sister and a good friend both got asthma after the last smoke fest down here. It's been quite a while since the sun was blotted out. I used my acid/paint vapor canister mask and did not smell a thing. Goggles too, freaking ashes BURN. I looked crazy but at least I don't need an...

All they did here in SoCal was add perfume to the stores. Studies done in the 70's showed that virus can 'ride' on perfume particles. So it was actually counter productive. And I'm allergic to perfume (think peanuts and swollen air path), so I had to wear my OSHA 'acid vapor' approved dual...
