Have a couple questions about this idea I'm breadboarding (BMP into an active EQ)

Hmmm nah at the moment it’s just Q1 - Q3 of the big muff straight into C12, so I just have the one IC, level is now the volume out right at the output. How dumb am I being? Should I bring back a buffer? I tried just swapping out the tone network between IC1 pin 7 and back into IC2 1 and 2...

Have a couple questions about this idea I'm breadboarding (BMP into an active EQ)

I just pulled the IC and replaced it with another one and the values are now the same as yours, i replaced the other IC in and back to incorrect values, then new one again, same as yours, thanks for helping me out with this!

Have a couple questions about this idea I'm breadboarding (BMP into an active EQ)

    It's all plugged in pretty tightly, here's what I'm getting 1 8.7v 2 8.6V 3 8.5V 4 0V 5 4.6v 6 4.6V 7 8.6V 8 9.2V But be worth trying a different IC

Here's what I have so far, as you can tell I'm still very much learning

Have a couple questions about this idea I'm breadboarding (BMP into an active EQ)

I removed the Tone Job circuit, currently I chopped everything out before c12, guitar goes straight into it, have bypassed the BMP stuff too. TL072 has 8 and 4 from 9V to ground. Then there’s the voltage divider making 4.5V, connect 4.5v to pin 5. 6 jumps to 7, then 7 connects between 100u to...

Have a couple questions about this idea I'm breadboarding (BMP into an active EQ)

@Chuck D. Bones I call upon the wizard, I've breadboarded the tone section of the Angry Charlie https://docs.pedalpcb.com/project/AngryCharles.pdf Assuming my input is at C12 and I'm only using the one TL072, why is VREF measuring 8.5V? Something sounds really off here. I've triple checked my...

Have a couple questions about this idea I'm breadboarding (BMP into an active EQ)

Ah this is good info, thank you! 100% know what you mean, I'm experiencing that at the moment for sure Well, in my naive mind, i was thinking I'd pass more treble to the EQ stack and let the treble knob have more range here, so trying to pass more to the EQ to play with. Is this the right...

A Awesome that sounds like a lot to look into, thanks so much!

Have a couple questions about this idea I'm breadboarding (BMP into an active EQ)

Here's the schematic attached as a PDF, as you can see, the EQ (EarthQuaker Tone Job), has a buffer before and after the tone network, I'm wondering 1. Should this buffer be moved before the clipping stage of the BMP? If so, where should it go in relation to the input resistor and capacitor...

Nice one! I'll check it out now

Trying to understand whats happening in this Tone Job pedal

Ah never mind, the answer of course came from Jack Orman, who wrote about op amp buffer patterns https://www.muzique.com/lab/buffers.htm

Trying to understand whats happening in this Tone Job pedal

Trying to level up here https://docs.pedalpcb.com/project/BoxAndAll-PedalPCB.pdf Looking at the input and output buffers, what is the role of R2 and R11 coming from the voltage divider in the power section? Why connect the input to VREF like that when the op amp is powered by pin 8 already?

I don't have a B2K pot, would placing a B5K pot in this Bit Commander cause some kind of international incident?

Awesome man thanks, will the pot still have it's full sweep range or will it max out at half way and make no difference from mid way up? (Not a major). I can likely find this answer elsewhere so tell me "jUsT gOoGlE iT" but how do I determine the resistor I want to use here?

Anyone recognize the order switch PCB used in this build?

AH yep, that's u/RyanFromQA on Reddit. They haven't posted in 2 years but did a write up about that pedal here. They did design the PCB for the pedal and got it fabricated. They write about it here Just on that note, it's not that difficult to do once you've gotten familiar with schematics...

Anyone recognize the order switch PCB used in this build?

I'm wondering who is able to control 3 footswitches in a row on in a 125B. That could very well be just a PCB the person who built it created for this project, I can't imagine anyone else being wild enough to do this. If you are literally after an order switch though, you can simply use one of...

In the context of Fuzz Factory, how much leak is too much for the AC128? Values inside…

Thanks for the insight, I wonder, can I change the value of a resistor on one of the circuits that has the 500uA leak to something higher to bring the bias back down?

In the context of Fuzz Factory, how much leak is too much for the AC128? Values inside…

Yeah the first five the photo are ~75hfe and the second five are ~120hfe which is what I requested, but I didn’t also ask for low leakage 🤦‍♂️ Yeah maybe next time but these are for 5 x fuzz factories
