Exactly that. As for the vibration, I guess I could see that but I am terrible at guitar so that would be the last thing a listener would notice.

I use the same mic to do exactly that! Low profile, sounds good, takes up very little room, set it and go. I really want a stand that you attach to the cabinet to avoid being bumped but they are like $75 and I am too cheap.
