Do you have to use the Cricut program to cut on the cricut? Can you use something like coreldraw?

I think he just overbuilt it because he (29Pedals guy) thought it needed it. Then he added his value on top of it and made the power supply a selling point because he was proud of it. From the manufacturer's POV it is not unnecessary.
