    MN3007 frequency

I did FINALLY get my version of the Rockman Chorus working with the 555/4013 chips. I believe it was my inverted for the negative voltage. I reduced the circuit down to just the negative voltage being applied to the LFO section, and the 555/4013 being powered with normal power. I made (2)...

    MXR Rockman X100

I attached my files for my layout. The NEW.DIY.PDF is the DIY Layout Creator file. Just change the name by deleting the (.PDF). Hopefully you will be able to open with DIY Layout Creator. If someone wants to combine the (3) boards into one. For the actual PDF file, if you print this with NONE...

    MN3007 frequency

I finally got the chorus to work, but not the 555/4013 circuit. I think I have bad 4013 chips. I used a 40476 circuit and used the below website to come up with the R1, R2, and C1 values for a 23KHZ output to the MN3007. I see for JTEX Rockman engine he used a TC4S584F Schmitt trigger in place...

    MN3007 frequency

Hello I found a website that calculates the frequency of a 555 circuit. And using the formula Td=N divided by (2 times Fclock) I get different results. Trying to figure out the frequency of the Rockman Chorus using the website 555 calculator I get 85KHZ (R1=2.7K, R2=560K, and C1=15pf). Using...

    MXR Rockman X100

If someone does build and sell the Rockman PCB (please) it would be nice to do the switching so that one could turn on the chorus portion all by itself, and use it just as a chorus pedal.

JTEX Did you sell all your Rock engines? Also I agree, Rob will you be selling a PCB for this? I already have a MN3007 ready to go.

    LFOs - part I

After typing this post I got a determination to get this to work. I finally got one to work! I went over my Vero build found a 68K instead of a 6.8K resistor replaced and worked, this is for the X100 chorus LFO circuit, only difference is I used a 6.8K instead of 220 ohm for the LED. It now...

    LFOs - part I

First, thanks for replying!! I have tried the Rockman circuit many times both with bi-polar and vref voltages and I cannot get it to work work properly, meaning flash rate of the LED (see below about flash time). I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I have made other LFO circuits and they...

    LFOs - part I

Chuck Is there anything to help design a LFO that would go between 0.25hz to around 1hz. This is what I heard the Rockman Chorus does.

    MXR Rockman X100

Rob or Bean Will either of you try to create a PCB for this? I am guessing you would sell a lot of these boards

    Ocelot question

Rob, di you have a chance to look for old rev 1 boards, or a way to use the new board and get octave 2 to work as a low pass filter?

Rockman X100 Rev. 10 Schematic Release

I just read that the delay time is determined by the clock frequency used to drive the MN3007. I am trying to figure this out so I can try to use something other than the 4013/555. Like maybe just a 4046.

Rockman X100 Rev. 10 Schematic Release

X100. From what I have read the delay is 20-24ms, and the modulation is between 17-23ms. I looked at the data sheet for MN3007 and the delay time is adjustable between 5.12-51.2ms and represented by tD. But I do not see on the data sheet how to adjust this time?

Rockman X100 Rev. 10 Schematic Release

What sets the delay time in this circuit? I want to create a separate chorus pedal based on the LFO circuit for the modulation. But, as I am trying to learn chorus circuits I cannot find info on the delay portion. Electro smash does a great job explaining the circuit portions of the CE1, but I...

Rockman X100 Rev. 10 Schematic Release

Thanks for the replay! I ordered a PCB for a EHX small clone and still waiting for it to arrive. Anyway I can get your final schematic for the what you did on the chorus? That was my intent to use the Small clone and try to convert it, but the clock is using a 4047 instead of the 555. I do...

Cybercow Hello, and congratulations on all your work and thanks!! I am only interested in the Rockman Chorus and Echo portions. I have tried re-creating the Chorus schematic on more than one occasion with no success. I really want to get the circuit working but I am almost done trying. I do...
