Explain like I'm 5, what is going on in this pedal to make is sound like this, please?

I think the Moonbow is an Oberheim SEM style filter with a console type drive in front of it. The Hudson Broadcast (PPCB Simulcast) and JHS Crayon (PPCB Pastel Preamp) are both based on consoles and are in the same ballpark sound-wise to me. Rob also posted a picture of the Catalinbread Airstrip...

Potentiometer value change calculation - SOLVED

I threw it in LTSpice a few days ago and still couldn't figure out how the frequencies and Q are defined. Really curious the answer to this one. I know it's part of the Ibanez WH-10 Wah but can't find nail down the filter topology it uses.

    Bring out yer Diptrace

Decided to update my pot and switch holder to make it a test platform while I was adding middle holes for toggles now that Rob has been doing those a lot

Question for those who test PCBs before deciding to box them

https://forum.pedalpcb.com/threads/what%E2%80%99s-on-your-workbench.13146/page-44#post-182422 I never bothered to renew the ssl cert for this domain name so your browser might throw a warning. I've been meaning to redo it now that Rob has used middle toggles in new spots in a handful of designs...

Lo to mid gain pedal for surf punk?

The Cadmium (Nichols) Fuzz has some incredible lower gain sounds in it than I would have ever expected. Been reaching for it lately for mid-gain tones than big fuzz

Diptrace/PCB design first attempt - sanity check

Didn't have time to look over the schematic while I'm at work so below is just from visually going off the PCB for now. It looks better than my first PCB and I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks of laying out a PCB like a video game lol. For the JFET, you can rotate the SMD footprint 90...

Thoughts on attenuation built into amps?

I was surprised by how large my standalone attenuator ended up being when it showed up so I get where you're coming from but I do have to agree with what's been said - especially with how well it seems like Deluxe Reverb's retain their value. I would only do it internally if you try this...
