    Parts Trading Post

After doing some random reading on this forum I came across a great idea( I think) "I appreciate that! I did pickup those 47u caps a while back from Mouser and just got a bunch of bucket and clock chips from Cabintech. I think I'm ready to go but I'll keep that in mind. It'd be cool to set up a...

    Byzantium Question # 3?

Thank you I did try that . I used a 100nf and 220nf but the added small value did not register when tested just gave the same reading without the smaller value

    Byzantium Question # 3?

AWESOME!!! Thank you very very much. I knew I had a 50/50 shot at being right about the caps and after I posted it thought "Hmmm I should double check myself..................." that's as far as that thought went. Thanks again. I think I'll socket that spot (just to be sure)

    Byzantium Question # 3?

The trimmers , 1 100nf cap and 1 unbelievably problematic .... 5pf cap. I have everthing but the 5 pf cap. What I do have is a couple of options 1 - I have ceramic caps marked 10 that read between 0.072nf to 0.0.052nf on the capacitor setting on my DMM 2 - I have 15pf...

    Byzantium Question # 2

glad to hear that since I had no luck with both the pearl flanger AND the Boss bf-2 which I etched from other's layouts with no luck also the hollis flanger which does'nt sound like a flanger at all to my ears . Thanks for the answer I was hoping to hear and your time given to my question.

    Byzantium Question # 2

I can't seem to find any 25k trimmers for this build ( so far). Can I get away with using a 30 k trim pot? It's the last part I need to complete this one> I wouldn't think there'd be a problem using a 30k since it's a higher rather than lower value. but, .....well that's why I'm here asking...

    Byzantium Question #1

Is it ok to use tantalums where electrolytics would go, on this build specifically the 1 uf ones?

    another pal m-800 question

Got it . Thank you.. That's what I did. For me, DEFINITELY, a circuit needing much more focus on dialing in the trimmers to getting it to sound right. Tweaking the trimmers ever (EVER!) so slightly will change the sound a bit so I'd go back several times adjusting the trimmers. Mine works ...

    another pal m-800 question

Finally got mine working. Is there a specific order to tune the jfets in?

what type of biasing is this?

Yes the orientation is correct. Any way you could point out the bias resistors to be replaced? And possibly the trimmer values needed ( I know it almost seems like I'm asking you to do it for, me but I'm not I just don't know enough yet to figure it out myself. Thanks for the response and...

what type of biasing is this?

Would it be possible to swap the bias resistors out for trimmers? If so, one would tie 2 legs of the trim pot together and then the 2 leads on the trim pot go in where the bias resistor is/was.. Can I raise or lower the value of any pots to coax more gain out of it or changing the 2n1306 to...

    In This Circuit

kinda the weird thing cause the lfo seems to be working cause the pots are affecting the rate LED. I thought anything over 5 v would fry the pt2399. Though I don't think the 2399 creates any of the LFO. maybe it is fried and that is why I get no signal Signal tracing the signal dies at...

By load you mean my guitar plugged into it or a signal put into the circuit? No . That could change the voltage?

what would cause the 78l05 give an out put of 7.5 volts ? I can't figure it out.

what type of biasing is this?

Is the Expression Jack wired in per schematic ? No. But it is now and though it works still does'nt seem to be as high gain as you tube vids The bass and mid have a weird interaction to me I was wondering since r23 and c17 are socketed could I coax any more gain out of it raising or lower...

what type of biasing is this?

Thank you for the homework assignment. Never heard that term before but I'm sure there is a whole lot I've never heard before so off to Google school I go Thanks for the input.

what type of biasing is this?

Thank you very much your help is very much appreciated . I will definitely check over EVERYTHING again. I have no doubts that you have found errors in some of his layouts because so have I, but I will say I've built around 80-100 (if not more) pedals from that site and only twice did I find a...

what type of biasing is this?

    I apologize I answered without double checking. No, Q6 is not germanium it calls for it being 2n5457. q1 = 78l15 q2 = lnd150n3-g q3 = 2n1306 q4 = 2n1306 q5 = lnd150n3-g q6 = 2n5457 and the voltages Vin @ 18.04v q1 in = 17.31v grd = 0 out = 15.17 q2 d = 15.17v g = 7.10v s = 7.51v q3 e = 5.86v...
