    PedalPCB 5-Loop True Bypass Switcher

    True by pass implies no buffers, but a direct cable from input to output, when the effect is off. That said, it would not surprise me if marketing would coin the term even when it does not apply. (there has been Class AB amps marketed as Class A, because of the term "Class A" thought to mean...

    PedalPCB 5-Loop True Bypass Switcher

    My calculations are that for 100% mechanical routing and switching one would need: [X = No. of loops] No. of SPDT relays = 2 * X * (X-1) + X 1 loop --> 2 relays 2 loop --> 6 relays 3 loop --> 15 relays 4 loop --> 28 relays 5 loop --> 45 relays I doubt that's what they are doing on the fender...

    Tube preamp project, how to test / breadboard?

    What's the expected VC? Avoid breadboarding the power supply. Usually the contact resistence on the breadboard is too high for the current spikes you can find in switching supplies.

    this? Found it onlin, it's not verified apparently.

    YADT - Clipping Diodes and arrangements

    Similar threshold but different shape/slope. You will have a similar result using a red LED vs 3 silicon diodes. Or using 2 or 3 germanium diodes vs a silicon diode. Or even a germanium diode vs a schottky diode.

    Digital BBD concept looking for comments and beta testers

    Hi, I'm new here and I just learned about this. Is the CV controlling an internal clock for the BBD emulation? Part of the BBD modulated sound is the aliasing, specially on slower clock speeds (the sampling frequency changes, but the antialiasing filter cutoff freq does not. Also the AA filter...

    What are your favourite tube screamer mods?

    I always liked the SD1 asym clipping more, because of the fuller sound the odd harmonics give, and the dynamic response feels to me like having two pedals with different diode thresholds running in parallel. So I would suggest that (lots of pedals like the Timmy do this)

    Fuzz with variable voltage

    Just an idea I had reading the thread. You may even add a resistor for higher source impedance / SAG. Not sure, I'm not a fuzz guy. I've never seen this used in a pedal, so maybe there's a better way of getting the same result.

    Intresting: do you have the pedal yourself?
