    I'll be honest - if I opened that up to trace, unless it was like the most amazing sound ever it would be being put back together and put on a "life is too short" list. Which might be what Robert's coffee box is?

    you can encase it in concrete, epoxy, goop or asbestos and Robert will hack it off, you can add extra parts, fake traces, hidden vias and all sorts - and Robert will work it out you can hide bits under the jacks, and they will be found, but if you have a sharpie, you will defeat him!

    That’s great - you’ve found the problem on number 3 and then developed a technique to solder reliably - sounds like a win! I always try and put my fs down the bottom of a 1590a like you have - more space for a foot!
