looking at that project I'm glad it's marked as solved!! The Aion L4 preamp I made was bad enough!

This might be a stupid idea and not really the spirit of what you want to do… But I would buy/make a DI box - and stick it on the bottom of my board - and then run whatever I wanted into it.

I would have centred the footswitch too (though that might be a perspective thing)

I have one pedal I need to bug fix with a similar “pcb mounts tube upright, but lay it down with wires across the pcb” - squeal city - how have you managed it!!

I've seen someone who does that ... can't remember who but it was for sale on Basschat and then the foot switches could sit in a enclosure about the size of the switches screwed/velcrowed onto the front of the pedalboard.

I sometimes wonder why loopers don’t have the audio pedal inputs and outputs in an enclosure underneath the pedal board and just the switches in a tiny box on the outside.

the Jive pedal mentioned in the bass the world video for the clipping is a SHO with clipping diodes.

Cheers - so the short answer would be “just build one”, but it’s interesting seeing the love the Nobel preamp gets and trying to work out what it is people like about it and where the hype/love comes from- my suspicion is that it’s not magic, just a nicely tuned circuit and a nice transformer...

With the same tube in, how much difference is there from a Sushi finally? (Soundwise)
