1n456 for kliche boost

I don't have any. I could get some tomorrow at my local electronics shop, but I still have a few beers left and was hoping to finish it tonight. I have all the usual suspects, 4148, 4001, 5817, 4742. Would any of those be appropriate substitutions? Thanks in advance.

1N4148 should be a fine sub for 1N456 in that pedal. The gain of the Archer's dirty channel is so low that the diodes do very little.

Thats what I ended up using. Worked fine with no diodes as well. Thanks for the reply.
