2N4208 — bad for something or good for nothing?

I found these sili little PNP-critters in an HK shop this last February during the Lunar New Year.
They were crusty and dusty, so I bought up the remaining stock (19 total) just cause I liked the look of them.

Tidying up my toys today I came across them again and threw a few in the TC1 tester — 80–110 hFE.

I downloaded 2 datasheets (which I haven't read yet):
1) Central Semiconductor
2) New Jersey Semi-conductor Products

Even if I read the datasheets, I'm not sure what I'm looking for or what I should compare with other BJTs.

What I do know is an Internet-search came up with NADA for pedal usage.

So maybe I can still use them as diodes or some sculpture...

Anything using PNP. I love me some low gain Si transistors.

I'll definitely be breadboarding a few things with them. Maybe Fuzz Factory ...

Since I like to use SOCKETS for transistors, I can also easily try them in some existing builds.
