Aion FX 424 preamp extra volume mod?

I realized I had posted this question in my build report and not the mod thread, so my bad. But…I was just looking at some old dirtbox layouts post and got to wondering…to get the extra “master volume” like the jhs gain stage, could we run the pcb’s “OUT” to a 100k pot’s lug 3. Run lug 2 to aion’s footswitch daughterboard’s “PCB OUT” (where the pcb’s OUT would normally go, unmodded). Run lug 1 to ground connection. My mods are usually on the component side, so if I’m being an idiot, be gentle. But what do you all think?

You could do that, but I don't quite see what it's getting you realistically other than a redundant volume control. The gain on the last stage after the volume isn't particularly high.
