Aion Straylight 1u 3.5mm caps. Tant ok to sub?

So mouser is no longer carrying the ones linked in the product spreadsheet. I found them on newark for over 2$ a cap

I have some tantalum, can i sub these? And i would have to make sure the + side isnwhere the signal is coming into?

shouldnt be a problem, voltage rating should be high enough, + incoming signal yup

I found a 3.5mm width one on digikey for a more reasonable price. I ended up ordering those. Annoying paying shipping for one part grrrr!

Yea saw those. The wimas on digikey, different part # but same dimensions. I got 50 for 27.07 (have two straylight boards, already at 22)

Parts sourcing is my least favorite part of this hobby.

A big part of the appeal of ordering from Aion is having those ready-made Mouser BOMs to upload. Of course, then the parts show up and you have to sort them all…

And it is baffling how the same manufacturer will offer several almost indistinguishable versions of a component.
