Aurum vs Glory Hole vs Mach1 same family?

Looking at these circuits they all seem to be from the same family right with some variations?
I built a Morning Glory with clipping and high cut switches before in the past. is there something special in the Aurum / Golden Pearle that would justify building it? I’m also considering the Buxum Betty boost instead for boosting clean and crunchy amps. What are your thoughts?

Morning Glory is a Bluesbreaker, Lightspeed is a stripped down Timmy. Golden Pearl is not a clone of anything in particular, but basically a rather simple soft-clipping circuit. Tonestack looks similar like the one in the Korg OVD-1 or Carl Martin Plexitone but fixed values on a switch instead of a pot.

I built the Golden Pearl with a veroboard and it’s a simple but a usable overdrive. I like it better to drive amps and Friedman pedals then the Morning Glory clone I built. The MG reduces the low end too much IMO.

I didn’t have yellow leds so I used bright red 3mm leds which work well and have a similar forward voltage then the yellow ones.
I did notice that the led clipping sounds darker then the asylum 1n4148. In demos it seemed the opposite way. Will box this one and will experiment with other clipping options.
