Basic 3PDT Breakout Board Question.

Hey so I have never used these breakout boards before.
Do you have to solder them on the switch to get them to make a connection??? As in can you test out the circuit with just placing the switch tips into the breakout holes???

I can get circuit to work with just putting wire ends in the in/out holes. But when I switch the wires in to the breakout board I dont get anything.

Kind of nervous about soldering it on there since my desoldering skills still suck. And I would probably ruin a $4 switch in the process.

I know I test alot of stuff without soldering it first, and works good enough most times to tell if it is working at all. but not sure with these breakout boards if they won’t make a connection without solder????

I have all the wires and such connected as in the pics on the website so I am pretty sure it’s oriented correctly.

Was hoping someone with more experience with these boards can answer this question…

Thanks

Yea you'll definitely have to solder the switch and the breakout to get it working! It'll look something like this

Just make sure you mount the PCB correctly, the breakout tells you which side the switch should be on.
Edit: I should mention that I don’t expect the breakout to work without soldering it in. I doubt the pins would make good contact without solder. But if you are in doubt, use a DMM to check continuity.
