I'm trying to go "amp free" and would LOVE to make it a DIY. 1/4" ins and outs for amp stuff and an XLR or TRS for "driving" the line in. I've build 40-50 pedals and have a HUGE inventory of parts xlr.jpg , to my spouse's never ending delight and amusement. Not. Can anyone think of a solution for me? Thanks guys. What a great community!

If you want to go amp free, why show us an amp? 😎 Please detail your actual desired signal chain.

In general, if you need a line level output (0dBu or higher) it often pays to use a power supply voltage higher than 9V for your preamp/line driver. These days that is easily accomplished even when starting with 9 or even 5 volts. With a +/-15V internal supply it's pretty easy to get to +22dBu or even higher. But if you just need a mic level signal to a mixing board things are much easier.

Oh, and welcome!
