Bypassing transistor

I’m building a Proposition and don’t have any transistors within spec. I was maybe planning on bypassing and jumpering the transistor. My question would be when jumpering the transistor, where do I put the jumper wire? Through the D to G? D to S? S to G? Or do I try and jump from each hole?

I believe you connect gate, source, and drain together. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will be along shortly. With no schematic, it's at best a guess from me..

Thanks man! I’m just gathering information and getting ready to build so far. Appreciate the help!
