A little while ago I put some Kinman Woodstock pickups in my Strat. I've been working through my gazillion ODs seeing which ones suit it now that it has better pickups and finally got around to testing it with the Danae OD. Well... It sounds incredible! My Danae is slightly modified: I increased low end slightly by making C4 bigger and left off the clipping switches. I just have a quartet of 1N4148s to produce clipping and they do a fine job. I don't really like having too many switches on the top.
I may still experiment a bit but damn - it sounds so good. It really seems to favour the Strat. It is definitely one of the best Timmy-derived pedals I have heard, especially with a Strat. I had tried it with my Strat before but now it has the Kinman Woodstocks it's a match made in heaven. If yu have a Strat try the Danae!
