DOUBLE DESTROYER — DIP-CHIP, Flip Rantageous

Dwarfcraft's The Great Destroyer only utilises half of the chip — either the MC14049BCP or CD4049UB (*NB! NOT the CD4049UBE).
How wasteful!

I hate waste, such as 13700 chips used for compressors that don't utilise both "3080" halves of that chip.

I have a vero that is a DOUBLE GREAT DESTROYER, using both halves of the chip. Mm, okay both halves of the chip, but vero...

Would be cooler to have a PCB made with switching between the two "channels", like a messed up EQD "Grey Channel"... or for some insanity: cascade one Destroyer into the other.

So while I'm ranting: if you (pedal designers in general) are going to make a CA3080-based comp, why not make it a dual compressor in series or parallel with highs and lows (great for bass players)... Get the money's worth out of the 13700 chip!

I also hate circuits that use only one op-amp of a dual op-amp chip. Yeah, stink-eye at YOU Malmsteen, YJMy 308 Asterisks.

Yes, you could say I have a chip on my shoulder.
Guess I need a cookie break, Chips Ahoy!
And with that, the chips are down, are you?
I'd like to just keep chipping away at these puns... but they've all been done before, a chip off the ol' block as it were...
Lunch! Fish n Chips...
Okay that last one was a chip-shot.
You got better puns? Then chip in!
ChipnDale are monks, not dancers...
IC I'm getting nowhere...
