A while ago I picked up a Epiphone 335. Loved it but it had some issues. Specifically the hardware is garbage. What do you expect for sub $600. After seeing a bunch of YouTube videos about swapping hardware I decided to roll the dice.
First batch of changes:
1. Grover tuners. What a huge impact. The epi tuners were shit, two of them the gears were stripped and I could only turn so far before they just clicked out. These grovers are perfect, really smooth and lots of range to dial in perfect notes.
2. Faber bridge and tailpiece upgrade. I got a sweet deal for Memorial Day and this upgrade literally changed this guitar from a mud master to a crystal clear can’t put it down legit guitar.
3. Pickups- the plan was to order some Seth lovers next but I’m honestly so happy with the sound after the Faber upgrade that I’m going to hold off on the pickups.
Just sharing my 2Cents. Worth every penny.
