Greer Amps Black Mountain volume pot

Hello I recently acquired Black Mountain overdrive PCB and it uses A250k pot for volume.

I couldn't find it locally and I don't want to order one potentiometer...

Are there any noticeable differences if I used for example 100K pot or 500K pot?

500K pot with 500k resistor parallel between pot legs 1&3 could be a solution.

(I never bothered changing the % field. Never noticed an issue with keeping it on 90, but have no clue as to what it's supposed to do. Anyone?)
