Guitar Pedal Parts ok for Ge Diodes?

Need a 1n270 diode for the mystery meat and stompbox parts is out, they do have a 1n276 anyone know if this is a solid replacement stat wise? And I found them at guitar pedal parts but I'm wary of new places with germanium diodes... Any thoughts on them? The 1n276 would save me shipping from a second place just for some diodes...

SmallBear has them, but I would not sweat the part number, there are any number of Ge Diodes that will work, you're just looking for some in the right Vf range.
 
I went ahead and ordered some of these anyways. They arrived and are the germanium work alike shottkys. Just a heads up.
