Who doesn't love Kossoff's tone? And for over $330 bones, it has to be good, right? The demo does sound fantastic, and it doesn't seem like a dupe complex circuit from the pics.

Guy is an interesting builder, here's a cool interview with him. Any of his effects would be neat to have, assuming Robert can flip them and get his money back....

Tbf the major appeal of his builds (just like with Reeves for example) is the special components, wiring and enclosure work. They are otherwise rather basic old circuits.

I agree a lot of his circuits are just classics, like his Rangemasters. Those are boring and insanely priced. But the Kossoff Drive I am interested in, based on the demo.

From the gutshot I could see that, but sound-wise it doesn't sound anything like a Tonbender to me, and it would be an odd choice to chase Kossoff tones with as well, since he was mainly a cranked Marshall guy I believe. Also he mentions using FETs, in the description, presumably JFETs.

Oh, good call on the JFETs. I'm not a big Kossoff/Free guy so I wasn't sure what he actually used beyond the cool stripped Les Paul.
